(1) Kia Connect Remote Services
Information and control service for your Kia from your smartphone; the Services are available free of charge for a period of seven years commencing on the day the vehicle is sold to the first owner of the vehicle, i.e. the point in time the initial purchase agreement becomes effective and may be subject to change during that period. Details of operation and terms of use can be obtained on your Kia App. Smartphone with iOS or Android operating system and mobile phone contract with data option necessary incurring additional cost.

(2) Android Auto™ and Apple CarPlay™
The Kia Sorento is compatible with Apple CarPlay™ and Android Auto™. Android Auto™ is designed to work with Android phones running 5.0 (Lollipop) or higher. Apple CarPlay™ is available for iPhone 5 or newer models. Both systems feature voice control and allow the driver to keep their hands on the wheel and eyes on the road ahead at all times. Apple CarPlay™ is a trademark of Apple Inc. Android Auto™ and other marks are trademarks of Google Inc.

(3) Wireless Phone Charger
Wireless charging compatible with phones featuring Qi technology or a Qi adapter.

(4) Kia Connect On-Board Services
The services are available free of charge for a period of seven years commencing on the day the vehicle is sold to the first owner of the vehicle, i.e. the point in time the initial purchase agreement becomes effective and may be subject to change during that period. Details of operation and terms of use can be obtained on your vehicle’s head unit. Available On-Board Services might differ depending on your country. Smartphone with data plan required to activate Kia Connect Live Services services in countries and models without embedded telematics.

(5) Advanced Driver Assistance Systems
Advanced Driver Assistance Systems are assistance systems and do not relieve the driver from their responsibility to safely operate the vehicle at any time. The driver still has to adapt their driving behaviour to their personal driving capabilities, to the legal requirements and to the overall road and traffic conditions. Advanced Driver Assistance Systems are not designed to drive the vehicle autonomously. For further information, please refer to the owner’s manual.

(6) Forward Collision-Avoidance Assist
Forward Collision-Avoidance Assist (FCA) is an assistance system and does not relieve the driver from their responsibility to safely operate the vehicle at any time. The driver still has to adapt their driving behaviour to their personal driving capabilities, to the legal requirements and to the overall road and traffic conditions. FCA is not designed to drive the vehicle autonomously. For further information, please refer to the owner’s manual.

(7) 7 Year Warranty
Kia warranty covers a period of 7 years from initial registration or 150,000 km, whichever comes first. Deviations according to the valid guarantee conditions, e.g. for battery, paint and equipment, subject to local terms and conditions. For full Kia warranty terms and exclusions click here.

Kia high voltage lithium ion battery-units in electric vehicles (EV), hybrid electric vehicles (HEV) and plug-in hybrid electric vehicles (PHEV) are built to have a long life. These batteries are covered by the Kia warranty for a period of 7 years from initial registration or 150,000 km, whichever comes first (8 years/150,000 km for EV models registered from 01/01/2024). For low voltage batteries (48V and 12V) in mild-hybrid electric vehicles (MHEV), the Kia warranty covers a period of 2 years from initial registration regardless of mileage. For EVs and PHEVs only, Kia guarantees a 70% capacity of the battery. Capacity reduction for the battery in HEV and MHEV is not covered by the warranty. EV/PHEV Lithium-Ion Polymer Battery
Cars registered up to 31/12/2023: The Lithium-Ion Polymer Battery warranty covers a minimum capacity for a period is 84 months or 150,000 km from the date of first registration, whichever comes first. Cars registered from 01/01/2024: The Lithium-Ion Polymer Battery warranty covers a minimum capacity for a period is 96 months (84 months for PHEV) or 150,000 km from the date of first registration, whichever comes first.

(8) OTA Updates
For new vehicles sold from May 2021, Kia offers, per vehicle, two free-of-charge updates of the maps in the vehicle’s navigation system and of the Head Unit software using the so-called “over-the-air” method (“OTA Updates”). Once the two free-of-charge OTA Updates have been consumed, you will be able to get free-of-charge updates of the maps in the vehicle’s navigation system and of the Head Unit software only (i) by accessing the following web page https://update.kia.com/EU/E1/Main or (ii) at a dealership.

(9) Music Stream
The Music Streaming service is part of the regular Kia Connect Live Services but has a limited free period for one (1) month starting from the activation date in the Kia Connect Store.

(10) Engine Audio Levels
Noise level data were determined according to the prescribed measurement procedure in accordance with Regulation (EU) No 540/2014 and Regulation No 51.03 UN/ECE [2018/798].
