Vehicle to Load

Your Kia EV is a dynamic source of energy. With Kia’s Vehicle-to-Load (V2L) feature, you can tap into your EV’s stored energy to charge electronic devices like e-bikes, power your electrical camping gear, or even run select household appliances, all while your car rests with its engine off. To unlock this incredible capability, you’ll need the V2L External Adaptor.

Park up, and power your appliances

Your EV battery is able to power more than just your Kia. The Vehicle-to-Load function allows you to power home appliances and electronic devices directly from your car. You can use up to 80% of the battery’s maximum capacity, which is enough power for a family of four for approximately five days. Perfect if you’re planning to visit a remote camping location, and want to take a little bit of luxury with you.

Power at your fingertips

Vehicle-to-Load is available via the socket located under the rear seats or via the external charging port, providing you use the dedicated connector. For safety reasons, it cannot be used while charging but can be used while the vehicle is stopped, or while driving.
