Smart Cruise Control 2 (SCC 2)

This technology helps to maintain a safe speed and distance from the vehicle ahead on highways, adjusting speed for tight curves to ensure safety. If SCC 2 detects driver unresponsiveness, it activates the brakes to stop the car in its lane, triggers warnings, and automatically unlocks the doors.

Highway Driving Assist 2.0 (HDA 2)

HDA 2 automatically adjusts your target speed to match the speed limit while maintaining a safe distance from any vehicles in front. The system can also automatically change lanes when you activate the side indicator.

Lane Following Assist 2 (LFA 2) + Hands-On Detection (HoD)

LFA2 helps keep your Sportage centred in its lane by monitoring lane markings and surrounding vehicles, providing steering assistance when needed. The upgraded Hands-on Detection sensors on the steering wheel detect whether you are touching it, even without movement.

Intelligent Front Lighting System

Enjoy greater control driving at night, whatever the conditions. When activated, this system automatically adjusts the high beam based on speed and detected vehicles. At high speeds (above 100 km/h or 60 mph), it selectively controls the headlights, turning off the driver’s side beam when necessary to prevent glare for oncoming traffic.

Blind-Spot Collision Avoidance Assist

Stay aware and protected: The BCA system alerts you if a vehicle is detected in your blind spot while changing lanes. If a potential collision is identified when pulling out of a parallel parking space, it automatically engages emergency braking to help prevent an accident. With both audible and visual warnings, this system actively assists in keeping you safe on the road.

Forward Collision Avoidance Assist Junction Turning

React faster: Evaluating both camera and radar data from your Sportage, this system analyses information about other cars, pedestrians or cyclists crossing the road ahead – and activates a warning signal and braking to help avoid a potential collision with them. The Junction Turning function also detects any oncoming vehicles when making a left turn at an intersection.

(1) 7-year battery warranty
Kia high voltage lithium ion battery-units in electric vehicles (EV), hybrid electric vehicles (HEV) and plug-in hybrid electric vehicles (PHEV) are built to have a long life. These batteries are covered by the Kia warranty for a period of 7 years from initial registration or 150,000 km, whichever comes first (8 years/150,000 km for EV models registered from 01/01/2024). For low voltage batteries (48V and 12V) in mild-hybrid electric vehicles (MHEV), the Kia warranty covers a period of 2 years from initial registration regardless of mileage. For EVs and PHEVs only, Kia guarantees a 70% capacity of the battery. Capacity reduction for the battery in HEV and MHEV is not covered by the warranty. (2) Kia warranty
Kia warranty covers a period of 7 years from initial registration or 150,000 km, whichever comes first. (3) Free 7-year Kia Connect services
The Services are provided free of charge for a period of 7 years commencing on the day the vehicle is sold to the first owner of the vehicle, i.e. the point in time the initial purchase agreement becomes effective. (4) Over-the-Air updates
For new vehicles sold from May 2021 and that have OTA-enabled navigation software, Kia offers, per vehicle, two free-of-charge updates of the maps in the vehicle’s navigation system and of the Head Unit software using the so-called “over-the-air” method (“OTA Updates”). Once the two free-of-charge OTA Updates have been consumed, you will be able to get updates of the maps in the vehicle’s navigation system and of the Head Unit software only (i) by accessing the following web page https://update.kia.com/EU/E1/Main or (ii) at a dealership.

(5) Safety
The use of assistance and safety systems does not relieve the driver from their responsibility to safely operate the vehicle at all times. The driver still has to adapt their driving behaviour to their personal driving capabilities, to the legal requirements and to the overall road and traffic conditions. For further information, please refer to the owner’s manual.

(7) Digital key
For Digital Key to properly work, you need a compatible phone that supports Ultra-Wide-Band (UWB) technology.

(8) Apple CarPlay™ and Android Auto™
The Kia Sportage is compatible with Apple CarPlay™ and Android Auto™. Android Auto™ is designed to work with Android phones running 5.0 (Lollipop) or higher. Apple CarPlay™ is available for iPhone 5 or newer models. Both systems feature voice control and allow the driver to keep their hands on the wheel and eyes on the road ahead at all times. Apple CarPlay™ is a trademark of Apple Inc. Android Auto™ and other marks are trademarks of Google Inc.

(9) AI Assistant
The AI Assistant is implemented with the Regular Update 24.2 which is available via over-the-air update or via the Kia Navigation Update Portal.
The following languages are currently supported: English, German, French, Spanish, Italian and Dutch. A free of charge trial period of one (1) year is included with your vehicle. Kia will inform you about how to keep using the AI Assistant before the end of the trial period. This feature is only available for the EV3 at the moment. AI assistant may include inaccurate information, please verify important details separately.

(10) Engine Audio Levels
Noise level data were determined according to the prescribed measurement procedure in accordance with Regulation (EU) No 540/2014 and Regulation No 51.03 UN/ECE [2018/798].
